Fire Prevention Bureau
The Fire Prevention Bureau employs one full-time Fire Marshal and two full-time Fire Prevention Inspectors, with each inspector primarily tasked with providing Fire Prevention and Inspection services for San Carlos and Belmont. The Fire Prevention Bureau’s Office hour are from 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday.
Daily tasks of the Fire Prevention Bureau are Code Enforcement, New and Existing Business Inspections, Plan-Checks & Reviews, Fire Investigations, Public Information, Public Safety Demonstrations. The Fire Prevention Bureau works hand in hand with both the City of Belmont and the City of San Carlos Building Departments. The goal is to provide a "one stop atmosphere, so that all your questions can be answered with one visit.
